Why? Simply a question of why, when I finally thought I would be unfashionable but exponentially better at saving money, did I have to find out that there IS in fact a Forever 21 closer than the Murfreesboro store? Why did I google it? Sure, it is still a thiry minute drive, but not a fourty five to fifty minute drive. Sure, it is surrounded by neighboring stores that I would surely have to go browse through. WHY?! Oh my. I suppose it is either this, or I start online shopping. No sales tax, but there are shipping fees. No instant gratification, but days of anticipation knowing something special is coming to me in the mail. No trying things on... and well, I don't often try things on anyway, but I'm not sure about the return policy and how it relates to online purchases, surely one exists. But it's a scary door to open. When I've had a bad weekend at work, like last weekend, I can go out to the grocery store, fill up my gas tank, and basically lock myself and my family in our home for three days until I work again, putting the money in the bank and not venturing out of the house. I just need to work all of my shifts and tough it out this weekend to get back to being ahead, at least all bills are paid for the month and Dillon will pay me back the remainder of the money I lent him to fix his car, but I also have more expenses this month. I still need to get fitted and pay for my bridesmaid dress for Brenda's wedding, which I keep putting off but absolutely must do before the month is over. Blah blah blah, just no more tattoos and steering clear of malls and restaurants. How hard can that be? ... Ha.
On another note, I've found my new favorite adult beverage. A grateful dead. It's a Long Island Tea, for all intensive purposes, but WAY more exciting. Instead of the typical 5 liquors, it has six, including raspberry liquor and blue curaco. Pretty fantastic if you ask me, it's a bit strong but delicious, it's roughly 7-8 dollars per drink, and there is no possible way I could drink more than two without stumbling out of the bar and having a serious case of the spins throughout the night. So thrilled it was introduced to me.
